Virtual Kwanzaa Celebration

This year’s virtual Community Kwanzaa Umoja Celebration will include a special Lighting of the Kinara by the Sankofa Awardees and community leaders. In addition, there will also be taped performances of It’s Kwanzaa Mom!, a theater presentation by Operation Unite and Kuumba Dance and Drum, the Harambe Dance Company, and the COARC Kuumba Warriors, with performances by the Kyle Marshall Dance Company, and photographs by JD Urban Photography and David McIntyre.

DAY 1: UMOJA – UNITY. Join us for today’s Kwanzaa celebration, including the Candle Lighting Ceremony, our Youth In Action, and “It’s Kwanzaa, Mom!” entertainment, presented by Operation Unite NY at Hudson Hall in 2018.

DAY 5: NIA – PURPOSE. Join us for our Kwanzaa celebration, including the Candle Lighting Ceremony, our Youth In Action, a word from past participant and entrepreneur John Nathan, and footage from our Hudson Youth Government Day.
