Conceived and designed by Barbara Kilpatrick, Nearly Stationary is a new interdisciplinary work commissioned by Hudson Hall in collaboration with dance artists Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener. The dancers will perform new choreography amid, and in dialogue with, Kilpatrick’s costume installation. Live musicians will perform John Cage’s meditative String Quartet in Four Parts, whose third part provides the title for the entire work.
