Intelligent Lives follows three young adults with intellectual disabilities: Micah, Naieer and Naomie, who, with family and community support, work toward a future of inclusion and independence. They challenge conventional notions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college and work. Narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Chris Cooper, the film tells the story of his late son Jesse to expand our understanding of an individual’s potential beyond their perceived limitations.
Following the screening, moderator Maria McLaughlin will lead a discussion about the film with film maker Dan Habib, Micah Failka-Feldman and Emma Failka-Feldman, featured in the documentary, and Matthew Harrington, a Camphill Hudson resident.
