Starting January 2021, the Camphill Hudson Players bring you a new cooking show, Cooking with Friends, where they invite friends from the community of Hudson to share delicious recipes each month. This new project showcases the beauty of the Hudson Valley and the people who reside here. Although the Coronavirus prevented The Players from performing their show at Hudson Hall last April, they did not let it stifle their creativity altogether. Instead, the Players forged a new path by trying their creative hand with film and cooking!
The Camphill Hudson Players are part of Camphill Hudson, a group of individuals dedicated to creating a community with people of all ages, races, abilities, classes and creeds in the City of Hudson. The Players create original works of theater highlighting what it means to live in today’s world with special needs, and are known for their past performances of Portraits of Us and Food Talks. Integrated into this urban environment, their goal is to bring Camphill into the world by fostering community building activities. Camphill Hudson is building community with local residents, not-for-profit organizations, and businesses by supporting individuals in discovering their unique ability to contribute to their community. The theater troupe is one way of undertaking this mission.
