ART & SOUL: HOME

Intentional Listening Installation in the Performance Hall

November 13 - December 20

Upstairs from the ART & SOUL visual art exhibit, opening on November 13, Hudson Hall’s theater is transformed into an intentional listening installation.

Housing cozy seating pods with furnishings sourced from local shops and antiques dealers, Reggie Madison and Marlene Marshall have transformed the performance hall into a space for listening, learning, shopping and relaxing.

Each pod is its own ‘living room’ space, playing on the themes of music, art and home. This installation will channel the ethos of artists like John and Alice Coltrane, who wrote some of the most celebrated music of their careers in their Long Island family home. We invite you to join us at Hudson Hall, a home away from home, and listen to a playlist curated by Cat Henry, that highlights the lasting legacy of the Coltrane family in jazz music today.

Learn more about the art exhibition and the Friday Film screenings in the upstairs performance hall.
