Hudson Jazz Festival 2022

A Co-Presentation with the Louis Armstrong House Museum

Featuring Daniel J. Watts & Special Guests

Daniel J. Watts is an actor, writer and poet whose Broadway credits include Hamilton, In the Heights, and a TONY-nominated performance as Ike Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical (2020). He was invited by the Louis Armstrong House in Queens, NY to collaborate on Armstrong Now!, a project which brings artists together to create new work in line with Armstrong’s expansive spirit.

Watts, who is also leading a poetry workshop with Hudson City School District students as part of the festival, employs spoken word and music to underscore viewers’ commonalities as well as their unique experiences.
