“Guitarist Freddie Bryant is a rhythmic and melodic sponge. Put him in any musical situation, be it classical, jazz, funk, Senegalese, etc., and he’ll become one with the music.”— Downbeat Jazz

Now in its 11th year, pianist Armen Donelian and saxophonist Marc Mommaas’ Hudson Jazz Workshop culminates with a concert at Hudson Hall featuring guitarist Freddie Bryant. A member of Ben Riley’s Monk Legacy Septet, the Mingus Orchestra, and his own group, Kaleidoscope, Bryant performs with Donelian and Mommaas alongside an international line-up of workshop participants.

This event is made possible, in part, with funds granted to Hudson Jazzworks from the 2017 Decentralization Program of New York State Council on the Arts, administered through the Community Arts Grants Fund in Columbia County by Greene County Council on the Arts; corporate support from The Bank of Greene Countyand the generosity of individual donors.
